IMF PLANNING TO HELP PAKISTAN

The International Monetary Fund has announced that it will consider Islamabad’s request for financial assistance under the IMF’s Rapid Financing Instrument (RFI) facility to finance foreign exchange and budgetary support in the wake of the devastating impact of the coronavirus epidemic on its economy.

“Our team is working hard to respond to the request so that the application is not considered by the IMF’s executive committee immediately,” IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgiaieva said in a statement released to the media by the Fundabad’s Fund-based office.
