The PCB mitigates PSL after some international cricketers opted to leave Pakistan over the Corona Virus

According to media reports released by cricket corps, the playoff has taken place in the final, which will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on March 17; one at 2pm and the second at 7pm. The final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium at 7pm on 18th.

The playoff game scheduled for today, tomorrow and March 15 will be held in order.

The decision to allow viewers to the stadium during the remaining matches will be made after negotiations with the Punjab government, a media statement said after the announcement came hours after the board announced that the tournament would continue as planned.

The PCB had also stated that all players participating in PSL 2020 were given the opportunity to unleash the tournament amid growing fears of the coronavirus epidemic.

Earlier in the day, Sindh confirmed that the second “contact case” had taken Pakistan’s coronavirus to 21.

“Today, the PCB and the club’s owners, as part of their careers, have taken the decision to give all players the opportunity to decide whether they want to return home,” PCB Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan was quoted as saying.

According to the official cricket board’s official statement, the following players have confirmed that they will not participate in any future matches of the tournament.

Alex Hales – Kings of Karachi
Rilee Rossouw – The Sultans of the Multan
James Vince – Multan Sultans
Tom Banton – Peshawar Zalmi
Carlos Brathwaite – Peshawar Zalmi
Liam Dawson – Peshawar Zalmi
Lewis Gregory – Peshawar Zalmi
Liam Livingstone – Peshawar Zalmi
Jason Roy – Quetta Gladiators
Tymal Mills – Quetta Gladiators
Peshawar Zalmi coach James Foster also returns home. However, none of the players from Lahore Qalanders or Islamabad United are out of the league.

“This is always a dynamic and unpredictable situation with a lot of moving parts that need constant and regular attention. Making sure that players feel comfortable remains a priority for PCB, ”said Khan.

“At the moment, it is important to emphasize and clarify that the major concerns of the 10 players and the coach, who have chosen to return home, are to avoid a situation where they could be misled as a result of flight cancellations or border closures in their countries.”

He added that the PCB would promote their safe return and would ensure the same for all players and support the employees who decide to withdraw from the league.

“We will continue to monitor and evaluate this situation and will not hesitate to do what we believe is the right decision for everyone involved,” he said.

Yesterday, Sindh Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that all PSL games in Karachi at the National Stadium will be played without spectators.

“The biggest risk involved in allowing viewers to gather at the stadium to watch the game and we can’t risk everyone, so the games will be out of viewers,” he said.

The PCB has welcomed the decision of the Sindh government and a senior board official had also stated that they were consulting with the Punjab government for playing the remaining games without spectators.
