PIA STARTS FLIGHTS TO GILGIT AND SAKARDU
The Civil Aviation Authority has granted Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) permission to continue a flight to Skardu and Gilgit from Islamabad after being instructed by the Prime Minister, PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan said.
He added that the Prime Minister did not release airports nationally (from March 26 to April 2) to maintain contact with the northern regions as they relied heavily on continuing airline communications for their basic needs and emergencies.
